How does it work?

This is the easiest way to find the qualified guide you need for your group/ tour. On the top menu, click on “Find a Guide” and then select the language your group speaks. Fill in the contact form and then wait to receive an email from the OfficialTourist Guides who speak that language and are available for the service requested.

Why the reference?

Reference is one of the most important aspects to avoid mistakes. If service reference is not added, or is identical, then we may all get confused about which service/ Tour/ invoice we are talking about.

What should I do when I find a Tourist guide?

All you have to do is to get in contact with your chosen guide (by phone or email) and work on the details (costs, time of departure, meeting point, etc.). If you don’t want to keep receiving emails from the available guides, you can fill in the same contact form, informing that the service has been assigned.

How long does it take for the Tourist Guides to answer?

Please bear in mind that some of the Tourist Guides may be guiding a tour and are unable to reply immediately.  We kindly ask you, if possible, to wait a couple of hours.

Please remark that the Tourist Guides wouldn’t reply if not available.

When will you send an invoice: before or after the tour?

The intent of this website is ONLY to MARKET the Qualified Tourist Guides of Madeira.
That being said, as guides are self-employed, each will set their own rates, terms and conditions. Invoices should be submitted by the Guide, to the client, at the conclusion of the tour(s).

This site was developed so that Travel Agencies and DMC’s could find an Official Tourist Guide more easily for their tours. This page only helps to make the first contact with both parts and the author is not responsible for any cancellation, price conditions or other subject that may occur.  The author developed this page without receiving financial compensation and shall not be liable for any damages that have been caused by or in connection with the use of this site.

However, if a client can provide evidence that the agreement made between the Tourist Guide and the client has not been respected by the Tourist Guide, he/she will no longer be promoted on this website.
