I get astonished when I listen to people claiming that a week is more than enough to know Madeira.  I’ve been around for more than six decades and still today I do not know every natural nook on this island which hides continents of beauty from rushing visitors.

To wonder across Madeira and Porto Santo accompanied by an official and a competent Tourist Guide is something that I advise to whom does not feel satisfied with the common place, with lies pretending to be the truth in what concerns geology, botany, geography or history.

A bus tour or a walk guided by a professional, gifted with good acknowledges is as important to understand about natural and humanized landscapes as there are the lenses in my spectacles to enable my sight in seeing clearly the characters on the keyboard where I’m writing this message.
