October 1st to 6th – Nature Festival – Open-air activities
It is the most recent event organised by the Madeira Tourism Bureau. It is an invitation to enjoy outdoor sports and activities, even those looking radical, in a safe and leisurely way. Madeira is known by having a mild climate all year round, therefore you can practice surf, windsurf, paddle, paragliding, canyoning, cycling, trekking, sailing, diving or other outdoor activities without having to worry about severe weather.

October 5th to 6th – Ultra Madeira/3rd edition – From Ponta do Pargo to Caniçal
“ULTRA MADEIRA” is a trail running event. It takes place entirely on the island of Madeira and includes 4 events:
ULTRA MADEIRA – 82,9 km e 3600 elevation
TRAIL 30K – 29,3 km e 1140 elevation
TRAIL 17K – 16,9 km e 120 elevation
Mini Trail – 4 km e 40 elevation

October 18th to 27th – 10th edition Madeira Organ Festival – Madeira churches
October is also a month for culture and the Madeira Organ Festival is the jewel of the crown in this case. Within the celebrations for the 600 years of the discovery of the archipelago, do not miss this opportunity to combine organ baroque music and the mystical environment inside a church or a chapel. It’s open to everybody.
