If you want to get a deeper knowledge of our culture, then you are in the best place. To some of you it will be a throwback, I mean… a plunge into your childhood memories.

The Museum is located in a 17th century property in the little village of Ribeira Brava.

The two floors illustrate the traditional way of life of  our ancestors, with the reconstruction of a grocery store, a kitchen and a bedroom.

Also, it gives you an insight into the traditional life of farmers and fishermen with the display of objects related to linen, cereals, wine, sugar-cane and fishing activities.

The “Monte’s sledges” is one of the many curious means of transport exhibited  in the museum,  and is  still in use today for tourists.

Already curious? Come and let us share our culture with you.
